AHHHH life in Ghana! Loving it!

Well, we made it despite two nights without sleep and 24 hours of travel.  Amerley and Palmer seemed to handle the flights better than me!  All 10 bags, 4 carry-ons, 2 car seats and 1 stroller made it to Ghana (thankfully) and we were greeted by Carlos’ good friends.  It was a warm welcome.  It is wonderful to be here.  Time has flown as it has now been almost 2 weeks.  Life is good.  We are staying with Carlos’ friend K.B., his wife Rosemond and their 3 children just outside of the capital of Accra.  Our new house is basically across the street.  The 40 foot container is set to arrive early October and it will be wonderful to move and to be settled.  I think we are all looking forward to that.  The weather is hot, although everyone tells us we are in the cold season despite needing 2 cold showers a day!  HA!!  Carlos is busy networking and I am spending my time at home with the kids.  I LOVE not having anywhere to go!  It is wonderful!   Here are a few pictures of the kids.  Amerley is busy bossing the kids around per usual and Palmer just goes with the flow!  Enjoy!  Missing you!  Love to you all!!

This is so awesome that you are blogging about your time in Ghana. Thank you! Helps me on a couple of fronts. I’m so glad that you arrived safe and sound. Your house looks lovely and you are already surrounded by friends. I had to laugh at Bossy Boss – she and Vera are so similiar. Pray we have a mellow brother for her in the next year to balance out her orders. Much love and may God keep you safe. Kristin, Kofi and Vera

WOW! How wonderful…Im so happy for you both. Imagine home being Ghana. How lucky for everyone. I have to say I was a bit taken aback that this move happened but so happy. That is a big jump from the West Coast/Oregon. I send all the Okantey clan my best wishes.

Obruni, Obibini & Obru-binis!! So, so, so glad to hear all is going well. I will email you soon, I promise. Gosh, Palm-palm looks so much like you, Beth, in those photos. And of course A still looks exactly like her Papa! 🙂 Can’t wait to see photos of your beautiful home after you & your things have moved in. Your new house looks way too big! So much bigger than your St. J’s place. Whatever will you do with all that extra room?? 🙂
